The vice presidential debates took place last night. Joe Biden, a smarty-pants liberal who hates freedom had to face lipsticked pitbull hockey mom Sarah Palin. Palin has been the victim of extreme liberal sexism in the media over the past few weeks because she never knows any answers to questions she’s asked, unless they’re about Jesus or hunting.
Seriously, though: because Palin has been giving such piss-poor performances, the McCain campaign demanded the format of the VP debate be changed, so that Palin wouldn’t have to answer anything but softballs; shorter soundbites and less interaction between the candidates. From what I’ve read so far, she did better last night than she has recently, but my impression is still that Biden comes across as a knowledgeable pol with actual thought-out opinions, while Palin does not. I’m not sure how much the VP debates matter, but this is a fascinating election to follow.
Vice President Cheney has been the most dangerous Vice President we’ve had probably in American history. The idea he doesn’t realize that Article I of the Constitution defines the role of the Vice President of the United States, that’s the Executive Branch. He works in the Executive Branch. He should understand that. Everyone should understand that.
Ouch. I like this Biden fella.
