Dragon Attack

Queen, for whatever reason, still seems to be a pretty underrated band. They stopped touring before I even knew who they were, and shortly after I got into them with Innuendo, Freddie had died. I never had a chance to see them live, but at least there are plenty of live recordings to enjoy.

Here’s Dragon Attack (originally from The Game) from their live album, Queen Rock Montreal. Their playing is exceptionally tight, it’s both heavy and rollicking; it’s also just the four of them, showing they didn’t need studio tricks to melt your head. After a short detour into Now I’m Here (Reprise), they segue smoothly into a full-on singalong of Love of My Life. Grand stuff.
