The Blanks Take on Take On Me
I’ll admit this charmed my socks off. The Blanks is the vocal group you may have seen on Scrubs.
I thought they were just created for the purposes of the show, but it transpires they’re a real group who tour and perform. Bill Lawrence, Scrubs’ showrunner, was apparently very impressed after they cameoed in an episode, and subsequently kept using them.
I’m not going to lie; when someone you’re a fan of replies to something you’ve written, even something as insubstantial as my tweet up there, it’s easy to feel a twinge of excitement. (My other brush with kinda-sorta-fame was when web guru extraordinaire Jeffrey Zeldman commented on one of my Flickr photos.)
I wrote a bit about Community about a month ago, and now we’re somehow halfway through the season already. Yahoo! Screen is still buggy for me, but that’s hardly the fault of the show. I’ve really enjoyed what Harmon and the Community team, both new and old, have done this year, and while I have no idea how big the chance of getting another season is, I realized I’ve cautiously begun to hope for more Community, rather than a respectable end run.
